Gilded Pages - Met Gala 2022 x Book Covers
Every year, Anna Wintour hosts a themed gala to raise money for the Met art museum in New York and every year, flocks of celebrities arrive dressed to the nines in unique statements. The 2022 Met Gala was last week, and this year's theme was "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" with a dress code of Gilded Glamour and White Tie.
I adore seeing (and judging) each stunning variation on the theme so below, I have curated my favorite looks from the red carpet with a twist - each dress will have a book cover that matches!
Just as a note, I have not read all of the books listed below and chose them only for aesthetic purposes :)
Blake Lively - The Coming Storm by Regina M. Hansen
Alexa Chung - Lore by Alexandra Braken
Tess Thompson - A Thousand Perfect Notes by C.G. Drews
Billie Eilish - Wilder Girls by Rory Power
Carey Mulligan - The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
Jessica Chastain - This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab
Olivia Rodrigo - The Light Between Worlds by Laura E. Weymouth
Kiki Layne - Dangerous Alliance by Jennieke Cohen
RosalĂa - The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli
Tenaya Taylor - Wishtress by Nadine Brandes
Dove Cameron - Onyx & Ivory by Mindee Arnett
Shalom Harlow - Vicious by V.E. Schwab
Lizzo - Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Nicola Coughlan - Shiny Broken Pieces by Charaipotra and Clayton
Laura Harrier - A Treason of Thorns by Laura E. Weymouth
It was so fun to match up these gorgeous looks with even more gorgeous books! What was your favorite Met Gala look? What book would you match it with?
Until next time!
